You probably can’t remember the last time you’ve seen a Looney Tunes cartoons, we’ll give you a minute to think about it. But finally, that’s about to change. Warner Bros. Animation just announced an upcoming series of animated shorts it’s calling Looney Tunes Cartoons. It’ll focus on the classic, slapstick-driven Looney Tunes stories and characters but will have a bit of a twist.

Looney Tunes Cartoons will have multiple shorts ranging from one to six minutes with each story written and illustrated by different artists, giving each episode a distinct style. There is no specific number of episodes but we can expect 1,000 minutes of animation for the first season that will be broadcasted both on television and on the internet. Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, and Bob Bergen will be lending their voices to the series so you can expect the characters to sound familiar. Now, whether this new format will hold up is something we can only tell once the series comes out.
