Review: Dyson Hot+Cool purifying fan and heater

Dyson’s latest Pure Hot+Cool purifying heater and fan is an advanced air purifier, a powerful cooling fan and a smart area heater that has the power to purify the air in an entire room. The company has engineered a solution that can sense real time air quality and fills the room with purified air.
Most products that profess to do two things simultaneously usually fall short in both tasks. Dyson’s Pure Hot+Cool is a product that professes to do three things if you consider that it is a high-tech fan, heater and air purifier.
Dyson has already built a reputation for re-inventing the vacuum cleaner market and the company has taken a lot of its engineering expertise to other household appliances. They’ve designed some of the smartest and best fans which also double as heaters thanks to their Hot+Cool technology.
The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool purifying heater + fan is exceptional at cooling and warming up an area. It is exceedingly powerful and very versatile with the ability to tilt, swing and apply smart technology as well as an app to control the device remotely.
For this new model, Dyson poured a ton of focus on purifying the air in entire rooms. Air purifiers haven’t changed in nearly 50 years.
The filtration capability of this purifying heater and fan is impressive. “The fully-sealed filter system combines an activated Carbon filter to remove gases, and a Glass HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of microscopic allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns,” Dyson’s engineers explain.
Not only does it tackle obvious pollutants like foul odors, allergens, dust and pollen, it works on a microscopic level to vanquish impurities that can’t be easily sensed.
With the ability to project over 77 gallons of smooth, purified air per second with 350’ oscillation makes it possible to clean even larger rooms or areas. Personally, I love that the Dyson goes about its business quietly which very few cooling solutions can pull off.
I tested the Dyson in an area where we store the litter box of our two cats. Not only are there unpleasant odors there, there’s dust particles from the kitty litter as well as dander from the cats themselves. In a matter of hours, the area smelled clean with very little hint that there was a litter box in the area.
The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool purifying heater is smart enough to keep users updated on its status. The display is easy to read and gives updates status reports. It will even notify users when the filters always need cleaning or changing to ensure clean air.
For people with respiratory problems, who have young children or who struggle with air quality, the Dyson Pure will yield instant benefits. That it is also a stellar cooling and heating solution as well is a big bonus.
