If you want a look at what it's like to be an immigrant in the US facing possible deportation, then this upcoming Netflix docuseries might be worth checking out. Living Undocumented premieres on October 2nd. It follows eight families trying to create a home for themselves in the US while facing the possibility of being deported. It shows stories ranging from harrowing to hopeful, and it humanizes the complicated US immigration system.

Actress and singer Selena Gomez is one of the series' executive producers along with Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman who executive produce via Industrial Media's Intellectual Property Corp. Mandy Teefey, Anna Chai, and Sean O'Grady are also executive producers. Saidman and Chai co-direct the series.

"I chose to produce this series, Living Undocumented, because over the past few years, the word 'immigrant' has seemingly become a negative word," said Gomez. "My hope is that the series can shed light on what it's like to live in this country as an undocumented immigrant firsthand, from the courageous people who have chosen to share their stories."
