Samsung brings its ruggedized Galaxy Tab Active Pro to Canada. First launched in the US last October, the ruggedized tablet is designed for workers in industries like construction, oil/field, public services (police/utility), and retail/warehouse.

It's designed to work well outside of the office, so it's capable of withstanding excessive drops, temperatures, vibrations, and more. It has been tested against military-specification MIL-STD-810G. The Galaxy Tab Active Pro also has an IP68 certification for water- and dust-resistance.

Since it's designed for work, Samsung DeX (desktop experience) is available on this tablet—another first for the company's ruggedized tablet series. The Galaxy Tab Active Pro also supports LTE connectivity and Samsung Knox data encryption.

The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch screen, which Samsung claimed is the largest display for a ruggedized tablet to date. It also has a 13-megapixel AF back camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and support for Google's AR Core augmented reality platform.

The Galaxy Tab Active Pro comes equipped with a replaceable fast-charging battery that can be used for up to 15 hours on a single charge.

Businesses interested in purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro can inquire via the Samsung Store, Samsung.com, or through Samsung's IT reseller partner channel.
