The OnePlus 8T is finally here and sits comfortably between the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro when it comes to specifications and pricing, too. The 8T gets the 8's launch price at $1,099. Meanwhile, the 8 now has a starting price of $899, and the 8 Pro starts at $1,149.
Unlike its predecessors and the OnePlus Nord, the OnePlus 8T doesn't come with Facebook Services pre-installed, which might be good news to you. So, if you want the Facebook app, Messenger, and Instagram, you'll have to download these yourselves.
The phone itself comes with a 6.55-inch 2,400 x 1,080 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and what OnePlus claims is the highest colour accuracy of any phone with a Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) of around 0.3. It can crank out up to 1,100 nits of light and has 8,192 brightness levels, which smoothens out transitions between different environments.
It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G, OxygenOS based on Android 11, Adreno 650 GPU, and, in Canada, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The OnePlus 8T will ship with the brand's new Warp Charge 65 charger, which can top up the handset's 4,500mAh battery in just 39 minutes. OnePlus claims the phone comes with 12 temperature sensors and an encryption chip in the adapter and cable to ensure charging temperatures are at a safe level when using all 65 watts of charge.

OnePlus forgoes its typical camera placement with the module occupying a rectangle at the top left corner, similar to what Samsung and other phone manufacturers do. The 8T comes with a 48-megapixel primary lens with optical image stabilization, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a monochrome sensor for better image fidelity.
The phone is available in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver. The OnePlus 8T is already available for pre-order on the company's website until October 21.
