Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch a new Galaxy Buds pair alongside the upcoming Galaxy S21 in January. And now, we're learning more about these TWS earbuds. The new model will supposedly be called the Buds Pro, and it'll reportedly adopt a new 3D spatial audio function similar to Apple's AirPods that bear almost the same name.

This feature will, unfortunately, only work with Samsung devices running on Android 11. Like Apple's spatial audio, it will simulate a surround sound system by switching the direction of where your audio is coming from depending on how your head and the phone are positioned. Apple uses the AirPods' accelerometer to adjust audio according to the direction of your head.

Looks-wise, the Buds Pro will is like a cross between the Buds+ and Buds Live when it comes to its shape while adopting the soft in-ear tips of the Buds+. Based on renders, these earbuds will come in black, white, and a pale blue/purple shade.

The Buds Pro will reportedly also come with Voice Detect, a feature that will lower the media volume and turn on its version of Ambient mode so you can speak and listen freely to someone else. For those with differential hearing issues, the Buds Pro will get left/right sound balance.

And like the other Galaxy Buds, the Buds Pro is expected to offer ANC with ambient sound options, notification readouts, customizable touch controls, Find my Earbuds function, etc.

There's no word on pricing yet, but you can expect it to be a bit more expensive than the Buds Live given its feature set.
