Tim Hortons' annual summer camp for disadvantaged youth will be going digital this year to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The online "Tims eCamp" will be held this July, and any physical camp experience will be postponed until at least the fall of this year. Meanwhile, those who registered to be part of the physical camp will be eligible to take part in the eCamp. Additional details, including specific registration information, will be shared "in the coming weeks."

The eCamp will have "eCabins" led by trained facilitators to help with group instruction and assist campers with engaging with one another. The kids who participate can expect to get a similar experience to the in-person camps as the program draws from the company's year-round school and summer initiatives.

Tim Hortons says in its press release that it's working with the federal government to find out how the Canada Summer Jobs Program can support seasonal student eCabin counsellor roles. If you would like to support the program, you can do so by donating through the company's site or by creating a virtual fundraising event here.
