If you love dungeon crawlers like Diablo III and have an affinity for Minecraft's aesthetics and characters, then the upcoming Minecraft Dungeons will both surprise and delight you. Coming to PC and Xbox One on May 26 (now available for pre-order!) this epic dungeon crawler is set in Minecraft but instead of digging around with a shovel, your blocky characters are questing across various realms.

On the Xbox One S, the game looked and felt superbly immersive. We tried both the single-player and local multiplayer setting and despite the game's leisurely look and feel, found it to be both challenging and exciting. The best thing about Minecraft Dungeons is that it has more in common with action RPG games than it does with Minecraft. As a Diablo III aficionado, i felt right at home upgrading armour, selecting companion bats or dogs, and hunting for better weapons, drops, and loot crates within the game.

Played cooperatively with up to four local players, the game can become frentic and just as enjoyable as any raid-focused RPG. The graphics and effects as well as the soundtrack add a great overall feel to this fresh take on a popular game genre. Minecraft Dungeons is also coming to the Nintendo Switch, which is brilliant since this game is made for smaller screens as well. The PlayStation 4 is getting a version as well. This could very well be the sleeper game of 2020 (that isn't Animal Crossing).
