With its ongoing legal trouble with Apple, Epic Games has confirmed that the new Fornite season "Chapter 2 - Season 4" released today, August 27, won't be coming to iOS and macOS. The company said in its FAQ: "Apple is blocking Fortnite updates and new installs on the App Store, and has said they will terminate our ability to develop Fortnite for Apple devices. As a result, Fortnite's newly released Chapter 2 - Season 4 update (v14.00), will not release on iOS and macOS on August 27. If you still want to play Fortnite on Android, you can access the latest version of Fortnite from the Epic Games App for Android on Fortnite.com/Android or the Samsung Galaxy Store."

Epic was granted a temporary restraining order stopping Apple from terminating its developer accounts related to its Unreal Engine platform. But U.S. Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers didn't extend the mandate to Fortnite, which means the game is still unavailable on the App Store. Apple said it would welcome Fortnite back if Epic removes its direct payment system, which kicked off the entire drama and lawsuit in the first place.
