Smart home tech isn't just about lighting, smart appliances, and security. Sometimes it helps with something as practical as helping with your skin issues. That's what startup Lululab wants to help you with using its new Lumini PM smart mirror. It was born out of the Lumini device the company introduced back in 2018. A multispectral camera combined with an AI-powered algorithm analyzes your face, diagnoses your skin issues, and recommends skincare products you can use to treat them.
The Lumini PM does the same. It can analyze your skin's condition and suggests skincare products, cosmetics, and devices to use so you can look your best. You will get your personalized recommendations through a mobile app, which also has a social component as it can connect you with people who have similar skin types or troubles as you.
If you think it looks like an old Samsung Galaxy S5, that's probably no coincidence. The startup spun out of Samsung's C-Lab accelerator. Lululab hasn't revealed when the Lumini PM will be available or how much it will cost, but we'll make sure to update the article when we get more information.
