Google's Personal Safety app is exclusively available on Pixel devices. One of the new features available allows you to record up to 45 minutes of a scene if you find yourself in an emergency. That time takes into consideration whether your phone has enough storage. If you're online, the video will get backed up automatically to your Google account, where it will be stored for seven days. You can let the app share the video automatically, and it will send a link for that video to any emergency contact you've picked.

If you own a Pixel device, the feature is accessible through the Personal Safety app's settings. You can activate Emergency SOS by pressing the phone's power button five times. When this is active, you can still use the phone with a minimized viewfinder and notification icon to let you know that a recording is ongoing.

You can enable other SOS features in the settings, including calling emergency services, playing or not playing an alarm sound when activated, and sharing information with your emergency contacts.

Google has begun testing a version of Emergency SOS in early Android 12 betas, but, for now, it's an exclusive Pixel feature.
