Alienware celebrates its 25 years of existence with a new look for the Aurora desktop gaming PC. The latest version has a redesigned chassis with additional internal space and more efficient airflow. This stylish gaming PC should also run more quietly. This open-air Legend 2.0 chassis has 50% more internal volume than the Aurora R12 or R10 without significant changes to the machine's overall size.
You won't need tools to open up the shell, making it easier to access the components. And for those who want to show the machine's interiors, the Dell-owned brand offers an optional transparent side panel that lets you see the motherboard lit up by up to eight zones of AlienFX lighting. Alienware is also offering an optional magnetic cable cover for some tidying at the back of the machine.
Alienware wanted to improve airflow on this machine. Each system gets two 120mm fans (an intake and an exhaust). And depending on the configuration, you might get one or two more fans. There are also liquid cooling options.
Aside from keeping your system cool, the fans make it run quieter. This new system can be up to 16% quieter when idle and up to 9% less noisy when performing more intensive tasks compared to old Aurora machines. When overclocking, it is also 15% less noisy.
The Alienware Aurora is available in Lunar Light (White) and Dark Side of the Moon (Black). There are no details about specs, pricing, and availability yet. That's coming later this fall.
