Oura

Oura is back after four years with the third-generation version of its smart ring. The v3 Oura Ring doesn't get a new look, but it does cram more tech into its compact chassis. A new optical heart-rate sensor allows the wearable to track your heart rate during the day. That's something the old versions could only do at night. Now, you can also monitor your heart rate during workouts and get blood oxygen readings.

It offers improved continuous temperature monitoring. The Finnish company believes it has a better capability to predict when periods will begin. It also provides better sleep tracking, but insights for that won't be available until early next year. You can also get info on how relaxed or rested you are so you know when to rest.

Oura also plans to offer a monthly US$5.99 for those who want to get "daily health insights, personalized recommendations, exclusive audio, educational videos and more." Signing up for the membership gets you a discount on the price of the new ring. This new Oura Ring retails for US$299, and it'll begin shipping at some point in November.
