Spotify

Spotify might not be the first service you'll think of when you think about blocking other users. But maybe you have some people in your life (online or offline) that you don't want to have access to your playlists or activity on the app. The company is now letting you block another user without having to go through customer service.

The streaming service's users have been asking for this direct way to block others for a while. Spotify first rolled out a way to block artists they don't want to listen to via the "Don't play this artist" option back in 2019.

Now, you can block another Spotify user by heading to your profile and clicking on the "..." button. From there, select "Block" or "Block User" on mobile so that user can no longer access your page, public playlists, or listening activity. You can also choose the "Unblock" option if you change your mind.
