If you're waiting for the release of Valve's Steam Deck, unfortunately, the handheld PC's release is going to be delayed. The company announced that it'll start shipping the Steam Deck in February 2022 instead of the December 2021 release. Valve blamed the delay on the ongoing global semiconductor shortage.

"We're sorry about this — we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren't reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates," Valve said.

If you pre-ordered the Steam Deck before this announcement, you're going to keep your place in the reservation line, but the shipment date will be pushed back. Valve will update shipping estimates, so you should see when your unit might arrive.
