If the names are familiar to you, you might know both of them from Game of Thrones. Pedro Pascal played Oberyn Martell and Bella Ramsey as Lyanna Mormont. But you might know Pascal more from his lead role in The Mandalorian or on Netflix' Narcos. The two actors will be playing a father and surrogate daughter tandem, Joel and Ellie, in The Last of Us's TV adaptation.

The casting news was confirmed by the game's creative director Neil Druckmann, who also serves as an executive producer and writer on the show. The first game in The Last of US series focused on Joel and Ellie's relationship, and it looks like the show will focus on that first. Chernobyl's Craig Mazin will be a writer and executive producer on the series, and Kantemir Balagov, who directed the independent WWII drama Beanpole, will direct the pilot episode.
