We have unfortunate news for Prince of Persia fans. Ubisoft has announced that its remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will be delayed indefinitely. The developer team said in its statement: “This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.”
Ubisoft announced the remake in September 2020 with a scheduled release for January 2021. But the company then pushed it back by two months, attributing the delays to the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, its development team looks like it needs a lot more time to work on the game.
The remake is expected to have improved visuals, updated controls, and new voice performances, including Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced the prince in the 2003 original game.
When it eventually comes out, the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. And we wish it might even support the newer consoles.
