Fujifilm's newest Instax camera might look retro, but it packs in many new features, including a Selfie Mode. All you need to do to enable this mode on the Instax Mini 40 is to pull out the lens's front edge after you power it on. This move will trigger Selfie Mode with a Selfie On indicator, letting you know the camera is ready to take your solo or group shots. There's a small mirror that can help you check your framing.

The Instax Mini 40 comes with an automatic exposure function, so it instantly adjusts shutter speed and the flash to adjust to your surrounding brightness. It's housed in a slim black body with silver accents and slightly larger than a smartphone.

Fujifilm is also introducing a new Contact Sheet instant film option that looks like analogue contact sheets made from developed film strips.

The Instax Mini 40 retails for $139.99 and will arrive at major retailers in Canada by the end of April.
