As Twitter rolls out Spaces to more users, the social media site has decided to bring its Clubhouse alternative to the desktop and mobile web browsers. Before this update, Spaces was only available on Twitter's iOS and Android apps. But now, users can join Spaces using their browser, whether on a computer, tablet, or phone. Twitter Spaces is also not yet available on the iPad and Mac apps, but the company said it is working on this.

Twitter noted that the feature is still in beta, which means it doesn't get the whole Spaces experience available in the app. The focus, for now, is on infrastructure, scheduled Spaces, user interface, and accessibility features.

According to Twitter, "Now you can join a Space to listen in, test out the new transcription design, and set reminders to join a scheduled Space." It isn't possible to create a Spaces room from the web browser at the moment, but that option is expected to arrive later this year.
