Nintendo usually doesn't reply to rumours and reports, but this time, the company wanted to set the record straight that it wouldn't squeeze more profit out of the upcoming Switch OLED model. Last week, a Bloomberg report cited industry analysts claiming that it only cost Nintendo around USD 10 per unit to produce, while its USD 350 price is USD 40 more than the previous model.

Nintendo replied in a tweet, "A news report on July 15, 2021 (JST) claimed that the profit margin of the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) would increase compared to the Nintendo Switch. To ensure correct understanding among our investors and customers, we want to make clear that the claim is incorrect."

The company also shot down rumours that Nintendo will launch a Switch Pro with premium components and NVIDIA's DLSS technology soon.
