Adobe has just announced that Premiere Pro will natively support M1 Macs. These include the 13-inch MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, 24-inch iMac, and Mac mini. According to Adobe, Creative Cloud apps like Premiere Pro will run over 80% faster on Apple's M1 Macs when compared to identically configured Intel-based Macs. The video editing app also gets a new Speech to Text feature with an integrated and automated workflow for creating captions and transcriptions.
The company plans to bring native support for the Apple M1 chip to its After Effects app, which will arrive with a public beta later in the year. Other Adobe apps that already run natively on the M1 Macs include Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom Classic.
