League of Legends developer Riot Games recently released a copyright-free album that content creators and anyone really can use with their content. The 37-track, one-hour and forty-minute album is called Sessions: Vi in honour of the League of Legends character. The developer wanted to make music that was safe to stream and free to use. It collaborated with 20 different musicians to bring this music project to life. Each artist is credited and will receive revenue from song streams.
There's even a music video up for the entire album that follows a three-arc story, which you can see above. Illustrated by the artist Deathburger, it shows Vi doing different things like relaxing, eating, and working. Sessions: Vi can be used on a platform either by streaming it directly into the content or downloading it to editing programs. It can be used for monetized content, too.
Riot Games says crediting isn't required, but it is appreciated. Creators still need to adhere to legal conditions, like not using the music for unauthorized apps or games or inappropriate ads. The developer also recommends interested individuals read its creator-safe guidelines.
