Just ahead of its wider release in the US, the Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta software is rolling out to its early access fleet in the country. The Full Self-Driving Beta v10 allows Tesla vehicles to virtually drive themselves on highways and city streets. However, it's still considered a level 2 driver assist because it requires driver supervision at all times. You are still responsible for the vehicle, and you need to keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times.
Tesla focused its FSD Beta testing in the US since that's where the company is based, and it needed to start with specific road rules, markings, and signs. Canada has been expected to be the next market for the software because the rules, markings, and signs are closest to those in the US.
A Tesla owner going by Joshua C has been posting videos on YouTube showing how his car has been performing with the FSD Beta v10 software over the last day. Tesla will use data from its Canadian fleet to feed videos to its neural nets and learn how to interpret the country's different signs and road markings.
