If you are one of the super-rich looking for an alternative to Samsung's The Wall, LG offers an option. The company recently launched a Direct View LED (DVLED) Extreme Home Cinema line that comes in sizes as "small" as 81 inches to the gigantic, billboard-worthy 325-inch setup. It relies on the same concept as The Wall, using millions of LED diodes (ranging from two million to 33 million) to offer a complete picture in customized shapes.
By default, you get the conventional 16:9 ratio, but you can opt for "UltraStretch" 32:9 arrangements if you're looking to watch multiple video sources simultaneously. There is that option to go up to 8K, or you can choose 4K or 2K (both in single or dual configurations). It will come with a WebOS controller box to get smart TV features.
LG has shared how much this custom TV will be, but you should expect to pay a hefty price for this rig. The company estimates that installation, warranty, and support (including bi-annual "health checks") are worth US$30,000 (around CA$38,307 converted) already.
