It has been rumoured for such a long time that Google plans to release its own smartwatch. Reports have claimed it was coming out sometime this year. Now, we're hearing rumours it could launch this May, roughly around the time of Google's annual I/O developer conference.
According to leaker Jon Prosser, the watch may arrive on May 26, noting this is "the first we've seen a set date on the device behind the scenes." So, the timing might change, but it's still one to keep an eye on.
The device will reportedly get a circular face without a physical bezel. It is expected to get a heart rate sensor and other features adopted from Google-owned Fitbit. As a Google-branded smartwatch, it could show us what Wear OS offers. For now, let's hope the wearable actually makes its debut.
