Samsung is reviving its Galaxy S21 series with a new Fan Edition version of the handset. The Galaxy S21 FE features a mix of the premium Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy S20 FE's specs. It has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor as the S21 paired with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM + 256G of storage. You can't expand storage for this smartphone.
It gets a camera setup similar to the S20 FE, including a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, 12-megapixel wide, and 8-megapixel telephoto rear setup with a 32-megapixel front camera. The selfie shooter is an upgrade from the S21's 10-megapixel camera. The battery is also a 4,500mAh one, with a 25W wired fast-charging, 15W wireless, and reverse wireless charging support.
Its screen is slightly different with a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets both flavours of 5G, and it comes in white, graphite, lavender, and olive.
Pricing starts at US$699, which is just $100 less than the original S21. Samsung faces tons of competition in this price range, so only time will tell if it'll do well. With the Galaxy S22 launch just lurking around the corner, it might even face competition from its own devices. On Samsung Canada's site, it's listed as coming soon, so we're expecting it'll make its way here.
