Samsung has even more options for its premium Galaxy Tab devices. At today's Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra, promising immersive displays and "seamless" ecosystem connectivity.
The three tablets are designed to improve your video conferencing experience. They get 12-megapixel ultra-wide front cameras (and an extra 12-megapixel wide for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra), a three-mic setup, and intelligent auto-framing. At the rear, all three get a 13-megapixel main and 6-megapixel ultra-wide dual camera setup. For content creators, the Ultra has 4K recording capabilities with the rear and ultra-wide front camera.
It's also designed for better multitasking or multi-device use with improved Multi-active Windows, Samsung DeX, file-sharing with password-protected Quick Share. All three tablets run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors with up to 12GB of RAM for the Ultra and 8GB for the S8 and S8+ and up to 256GB of expandable storage.
Like the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung equips the Galaxy Tab S8 series with an Armor Aluminum frame to strengthen its build. To enjoy your favourite content, you get big displays. The base Galaxy Tab S8 has an 11-inch WQXGA TFT display, the Galaxy Tab S8+ has a 12.4-inch WQXGA+ Super AMOLED, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ Super AMOLED. All of them have a 120Hz refresh rate. As for audio, all three get quad speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series is also the company's first tablet series to feature Wi-Fi 6E, which doubles the bandwidth and maximum speed of Wi-Fi 6. The Galaxy Tab S8+ and S8 Ultra will get the new and improved S Pen. The Galaxy Tab S8 series supports live sharing through Google Duo to collaborate with other users.
Getting you through your days, these tablets get big batteries. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has an 8,000mAh battery, the Galaxy Tab S8+ has a 10,090mAh battery, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has an 11,200mAh battery. All three support Samsung's 45W Super Fast Charging.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series are already available for pre-order and will be available for purchase starting February 25 at Samsung.ca, Samsung Experience Stores, and major retailer partners across Canada. Here are the pricing details:
- Galaxy Tab S8: Available in Graphite and Pink Gold for $899.99 for the 128GB model and $999.99 (our regular price) for the 256GB model
- Galaxy Tab S8+: Available in Graphite, Silver, and Pink Gold for $1,149.99 for the 128GB model and $1,249.99 for the 256GB model
- Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: Available in Graphite for $1,499.99 for the 256 GB model
