Samsung has just unveiled its newest series of Galaxy A devices. And the one that'll make its way here first is the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. It is available for preorder starting today, March 17, 2022, and for purchase beginning April 1, 2022. If you preorder, you get a free pair of Galaxy Buds Live. It will be available at Samsung.com/ca, Samsung Experience Stores, and major carrier and retail partner locations across Canada for $589.99. Samsung is only selling it in Awesome Black here. But it is also available in colours like Awesome Blue, Awesome White, and Awesome Peach.
The update to last year's Galaxy A52 gets a quad-camera system that includes a 64-megapixel OIS camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel bokeh, and 5-megapixel macro. In front, it has a 32-megapixel sensor for your selfie needs. Samsung introduced improved Portrait Mode, Night Mode, and Fun Mode that now works with the ultra-wide lens.
This handset gets a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. This runs on an Exynos 1280 chip paired with Android 12-based One UI 4.1, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy A53 also gets a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging. And it is protected by an IP67 rating for water resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
