This announcement marks the end of the digital music era that Apple started with the first iPod in 2001. The iPod touch was designed by the same team that later made the iPhone, and it was last updated in 2019. An iPod Classic was the first gadget I bought myself when I started working, so seeing this era close is quite nostalgic for me.
