The TV adaptation of the popular game series The Last of Us has been confirmed for a second season. Co-creator (and writer of the games) Neil Druckmann thanked the cast and crew behind the show alongside the viewers who've engaged with it so far. "I’m humbled, honoured, and frankly overwhelmed that so many people have tuned in and connected with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey," he said in a statement.
Since the first season is still ongoing, we can expect a bit of a wait. But at least if you've gotten hooked so far, you can expect another season of the show. The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) as Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) as Ellie. Joel needs to escort Ellie across mid-America to a military resistance group called the Fireflies. She's seen as the last hope for humans as a fungal-based infection has ravaged the planet and turned humans into zombie-like creatures.
