The Problem With Jon Stewart, the political satire show on Apple TV+, has been cancelled after two seasons. The New York Times reported that creative differences between Stewart and Apple led to the decision, which came just weeks before the third season filming was supposed to start. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart wanted complete creative control of the series. However, Apple objected to some topics he planned to cover, such as China and artificial intelligence. Stewart reportedly refused to compromise and chose to walk away from the show.

The show premiered in 2021, six years after Stewart left The Daily Show, and featured hour-long episodes on current affairs. The first season had eight episodes released biweekly, while the second season had 12 episodes released weekly with a mid-season break. It tackled controversial issues such as gender identity and the indictment of former president Donald Trump. However, these topics also caused tension between Stewart and Apple. The Times said may have feared being involved in political disputes, so Apple agreed to end their partnership.
