OnePlus introduces its first foldable, the OnePlus Open. It features a book-style design that makes it easy to use and comfortable to hold. It is based on the Oppo Find N3 but with wider availability and OnePlus branding. And yes, it is coming to Canada.

The OnePlus Open has two stunning displays: a 6.31-inch Super Fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED screen on the outside and a 7.82-inch Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED screen on the inside. Both have adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz and impressive brightness levels up to 2,800 nits.

It comes in two colours: Voyager Black with a faux leather back and Emerald Dusk with a glass back. The black version weighs 239g, while the green one weighs 245g. Both are lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold5 at 253g. The OnePlus Open also has the signature alert slider.

The OnePlus Open boasts five cameras with Hasselblad tuning. The main camera has Sony’s new 48-megapixel LYTIA-T808 sensor with dual-layer transistor technology and optical stabilization. This new sensor features a redesigned pixel architecture for better light sensitivity. The ultra-wide camera has a 48-megapixel sensor with autofocus. The telephoto camera has a 64-megapixel sensor with 3x zoom and stabilization. There are also two selfie cameras: a 20-megapixel one on the inside and a 32-megapixel one on the outside.

This foldable runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It has a 4,805mAh battery with 67W fast charging that can fill it up in 42 minutes. It can last more than a day on a single charge.

The OnePlus Open runs on OnePlus Canvas, a custom UI for multitasking. It supports most of the popular apps on the large display and allows you to adjust the window size and orientation. You can have up to three windows on the screen at once.

The OnePlus Open is priced at $2,300.
