Insta360 enters the smartphone gimbal market with the new Insta360 Flow. It gives you the flexibility to shoot slick, stabilized, and well-framed videos with your smartphone. It retails for USD 159.99 (around CAD 217) and comes to markets like the US, Europe, and Japan. It takes on DJI's Osmo Mobile 6 with the features it offers.
This gimbal offers three-axis stabilization and gets features like a tripod in the box, a built-in 215mm selfie stick, automatic subject tracking, and a built-in cold shoe mount for a microphone.
Insta360 introduces a feature it calls Shot Genie, which recommends ways on shooting a scene based on over 80 examples. So, it can help take out the guesswork on how to shoot. It supports other shooting modes like dolly zooms, time-lapses, and panoramas. You can then edit your shots using FlashCut.
The Insta360 Flow also supports hands-free gesture control and a Live Mode that keeps you in the frame while on a video call or live stream. You can connect your phone via a magnetic phone clamp.
Insta360 claims the Insta360 Flow gets up to 12 hours of use thanks to its larger 2,900mAh battery, which can also work as a power bank for your phone. The Flow is available in white or gray.
