Google has not officially announced the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro yet, but they are expected to launch in early October. Tipster Yogesh Brar revealed the possible price and specs of the base Pixel 8 model, which seem to match the previous leaks.
The Pixel 8 could cost USD 649 - USD 699, which is USD 50- USD 100 more than the Pixel 7 launched last year. For that price, you would get a 6.17-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Tensor G3 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage options.
The Pixel 8 will also supposedly sport a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, an 11-megapixel selfie camera, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a 4,485mAh battery with 24W wired and 12W wireless charging. The device would also run Android 14 out of the box.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be the successors of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which were both praised for their cameras, software, and battery life. However, they also faced some issues like screen flickering and overheating. It will be interesting to see if Google fixed these problems and deliver a better experience with the Pixel 8 series.
