Microsoft 365 Copilot is a new artificial intelligence-powered service that will transform and help improve different tasks, but it comes at a high price for businesses. It will cost USD 30 per user per month on top of existing Microsoft 365 plans, which range from USD 12.50 to USD 36 per user per month.

Copilot will let businesses quickly summarize documents, write emails, and analyze data in Excel, among others. It will also integrate with Teams for phone calls and chats. Microsoft says Copilot will be available soon, but it hasn't announced a release date yet. The company faces competition from Google, Zoom, and Salesforce, who have also introduced AI features for their products.

Microsoft's high pricing for Copilot reflects its significant investment in AI, including its partnership with OpenAI and its demand for NVIDIA GPUs. Microsoft is reportedly developing its AI chips to reduce its dependence on NVIDIA.
