Apple has unveiled its new flagship iPhones: the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. These are the most powerful smartphones Apple has ever made, with a titanium body, a customizable Action Button, and a blazing-fast A17 Pro chip. They also have stunning Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion, always-on display, and StandBy mode.
The iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen, while the Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen—the same sizes as the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. The A17 Pro chip is the fastest processor in any smartphone, according to Apple, and it can even rival some high-end PCs in performance. The GPU has also been redesigned to enable more immersive gaming experiences on your phone.
Both phones have a USB-C port on the bottom, which can do more than just charge your phone. The iPhone 15 Pro is the first phone with 10Gbps transfer speeds, allowing you to easily transfer large files like photos and videos to and from your phone. You can also shoot 4K60 ProRes video on the phone or directly to an external drive via USB-C (with the right cable). The iPhone 15 Pro can also capture spatial video, a 3D format that works with the Vision Pro — but this feature will be available later this year.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max have a new, stronger enclosure that is made of titanium, one of the toughest materials in the industry. The design is similar to the previous generation but with some subtle changes. The phones come in four colours: white, black, blue, and natural.
The Action Button is a new feature that replaces the ringer switch on the phone's left side. You can customize it to run shortcuts, access accessibility features, open the camera, turn on the flashlight, and more. By default, it still works as a ringer switch—but you can use it for much more.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are Apple’s best cameras—they have an equivalent of seven different lenses to choose from. The main camera has a 48-megapixel sensor that takes better low-light photos, reduces lens flare, and uses AI to take full-res HEIF photos. You can also switch between different focal lengths—24mm, 28mm, and 35mm—within the main camera app. The optical zoom goes up to 5x, which is equivalent to a 120mm focal length. This is the most zoom that Apple has ever offered on an iPhone.
Apple imagines that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are not just consumer devices—they are also professional tools for creators and filmmakers.
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro starts at CA$1,449, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at CA$1,749. Both phones are available for pre-order on September 15, with its release on September 22.
