iPhone 15’s new USB-C port opens up a world of possibilities, including charging other devices like AirPods and Apple Watch. But that’s not all: you can also connect your iPhone to external displays and enjoy your content on a bigger screen.

The iPhone 15 has a USB-C port that supports the DisplayPort protocol, which means you can connect it to USB-C displays using a compatible cable. The cable that comes with your iPhone 15 only supports USB 2, so you’ll need to buy a separate USB 3.1 cable if you want to connect to a high-resolution display.

With a USB 3.1 cable, you can connect your iPhone 15 to any USB-C display and enjoy up to 4K resolution with 60Hz refresh rates. You can also watch HDR content on your external display if it supports HDR.

If you don’t have a USB-C display, you can still connect your iPhone 15 to an HDMI display or TV using a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter or cable with support for 4K resolution and 60Hz.

Another option is to use Apple’s USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. You can output video from your iPhone at up to 4K resolution and 60Hz, including HDR10 or Dolby Vision content (if your display or TV supports HDR).

When you connect your iPhone 15 to an external screen, you can choose to mirror your iPhone’s display. You can also watch videos, view photos, play games, and more on a larger screen.
