Do you have clothes that need a quick refresh but not a full wash? Do you want to keep your garments smelling nice and looking smooth? If so, you might be interested in the Miele Aerium, a smart clothing care system that uses air, steam, and fragrance to revitalize your wardrobe.

The Miele Aerium is a new appliance from Miele, a German manufacturer of high-end domestic products. It is similar to the LG Styler or the Samsung AirDresser, which are already popular in some markets.

The Aerium is a tall and sleek cabinet that can fit in any room. It measures two meters in height and 50cm in width, allowing it to accommodate various clothing types and accessories. It has a modern design with a touch interface that only appears when needed. It also has a Knock2Open feature that lets you open the door with two taps. Moreover, it has a HEPA filter that purifies the air and removes allergens.

Inside the Miele Aerium, you will find five special hangers (AeroHangers) that blow air and steam on both sides of the garments. You will also find a hanging rail, a shelf, and a lower area for different items. You can fold up the shelf to make space for longer dresses. The lower area has hinged outlets (AeroBars) that blow air and steam on shoes, hats, or gloves.

The Miele Aerium uses Miele’s heat pump and steam generator technologies to produce steam that smooths and refreshes laundry. It has two 1.4L water tanks that can last for several cycles. You can choose from three programs: PowerFresh, DryFresh, and AutoDry.

PowerFresh refreshes clothing with steam, DryFresh refreshes delicate garments without steam, and AutoDry gently dries any garment type. You can customize the time and intensity of each program according to your needs. You can also add fragrance and hygiene options to each program. The fragrance option uses Miele’s FragranceDos feature to scent your garments with one of five available fragrances. The hygiene option uses Hyonic Plasma technology to eliminate bacteria and viruses at low temperatures.

You can control the Miele Aerium via the touch interface or the Miele app. The app allows you to monitor the cycle's progress, get notifications when it is done, and access more features and tips.

The Miele Aerium laundry cabinet will be available in Germany in the second quarter of 2024 for EUR 3,959 (around CAD 5,801). You can choose between Obsidian Black and Brilliant White colours.
