Samsung is bringing its Galaxy AI features to more users with the launch of its newest FE device. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE shares many similarities with its predecessor—the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE—and the base models in the series—the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus.
It'll be the first FE device to get the same advanced Galaxy AI experience as the rest of the Galaxy S24 series. It supports Circle to Search with Google, Interpreter feature, Live Translate, Chat Assist, Browsing Assist, and Note Assist.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has the same design as the rest of the S24 series. It gets an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and you can get it in Blue, Gray, Mint, Graphite, and Yellow. (But colour availability may vary depending on the region.)
It gets a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display similar to the Galaxy S24+ phone. That also means it's larger than last year's Galaxy S23 FE's 6.4-inch display. And it gets a battery upgrade as well from the S23 FE's 4,500mAh to a 4,700mAh battery.

Another distinguishing feature of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is the processor that powers it. This phone runs on an in-house Exynos 2400e chipset instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. However, Samsung vows you get a comparable experience. And with a larger vapour chamber, it should have improved cooling, too.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has a camera setup that is nearly identical to that of its predecessor and is not too far from the base S24 phones. It has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel selfie shooter. And while it has a similar setup to last year's model, Samsung adds support for its ProVisual Engine in this new device. This AI-supported feature boosts its photo-taking capabilities.
Of course, this new handset can access Galaxy AI photo editing features like Generative Edit, Portrait Studio, and Instant Slow-mo.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is now available at CA$854.99 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant or CA$930.99 for the 8GB + 256GB option. Samsung offers discounts and promos on its site, which you might want to check out.
