Aside from launching the new iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro, Apple has also reported its fourth quarter fiscal earnings this week. The report includes the early sales of the iPhone 16 series, which seem to be off to a good start. Apple CEO told CNBC that the sales of the iPhone 15 were "stronger than 14 in the year-ago quarter, and 16 was stronger than 15." This result comes even though Apple only just started to roll out its artificial intelligence-powered Apple Intelligence features this week.

The tech giant reported a revenue of US$94.9 billion, a new record for the September quarter and up six percent year over year. This strong showing was only dampened by a one-time income tax charge of $10.2 billion that the company had to pay Ireland following a long-running tax dispute.

Despite that, nearly every segment of Apple's business was up, except for its "wearables, home, and accessories" category. iPad revenues were up eight percent after the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models were introduced in the spring.
