Samsung is discontinuing the DeX for PC app, which allows users to mirror their phone's screen on their Windows computer, with the upcoming One UI 7 update. This change was announced on the official Samsung UK website and will likely disappoint some users who have relied on the app for seamless file transfer and a more integrated desktop experience.
However, Samsung encourages users to utilize the "Link to Windows" feature as an alternative. "Link to Windows" offers similar functionality, allowing users to easily access phone notifications, make calls, and transfer files between their phone and PC.
While the DeX for PC app is being discontinued, the core DeX functionality, which enables users to connect their phones to monitors, keyboards, and mice for a desktop-like experience, will remain available.
