Apple has unveiled its brand new retail space at Square One, Canada's second-largest mall. Located conveniently above the Food Central food court (second floor, across from Sephora), the store boasts a significantly larger footprint compared to its predecessor, eliminating past overcrowding issues.
This new location also marks a Canadian first: a dedicated Apple Pickup station. Customers can now seamlessly collect online orders placed through Apple's website or app.
While the store offers expert hardware support through its Genius Bar and engaging Today at Apple sessions, it doesn't currently feature Apple's latest design elements seen in stores like Apple Tysons Corner (Virginia) and Apple Battersea (London). These include Genius Bars with varying table heights for accessibility and an Apple Watch Studio for customizing watch combinations.
Despite lacking the newest design features, Square One remains a significant upgrade for Apple's Canadian presence. It joins the ranks of other modern stores like Apple Fairview and Apple Eaton Centre in Toronto and Apple Pacific Centre in Vancouver. Interestingly, leaked documents suggest Apple might relocate its Sainte-Catherine store in Montreal as early as 2025, but official confirmation is pending.
