Apple announced a significant update to its iPad lineup on Tuesday, introducing the next generation of both the iPad Air and iPad Pro. It's the longest gap between iPad updates since the device's debut in 2011, highlighting the substantial advancements in these new models.

The biggest news for the iPad Air is the new 13-inch size option alongside the familiar 11-inch model. This larger display offers 30% more screen real estate, ideal for users who crave additional workspace. Both sizes start at CA$799 for the 11-inch and CA$1,099 for the 13-inch, making the iPad Air a compelling choice for those seeking a powerful tablet at a competitive price point.

Under the hood, the iPad Air boasts Apple's M2 chip, delivering a significant performance boost than its predecessor. The faster GPU and neural engine translate to smoother multitasking, enhanced graphics capabilities, and improved support for AI-powered features.

Additionally, the front-facing camera is now positioned on the landscape edge, mirroring the iPad Pro and optimizing video conferencing experiences.

The new iPad Air will be available for purchase starting next week, offering a wider range of colour options, including stylish blue, purple, and gold finishes, to suit individual preferences.
