No big changes expected for iPhone 16 series

Since its 2020 redesign, the iPhone has seen incremental updates rather than groundbreaking changes. This trend is set to continue with the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup.

While last year's Pro model introduced a titanium shell, the core device remained largely unchanged. The Dynamic Island, though hailed as innovative, was more of an interface tweak than a fundamental shift. This year's models will follow suit, offering subtle refinements rather than a dramatic overhaul.

The iPhone 16 series will focus on Apple Intelligence, the company's new AI suite. However, this feature will also be available on the iPhone 15 Pro, limiting its appeal as a unique selling point.

While these enhancements are welcome, they are unlikely to drive significant sales. Apple's cautious sales forecast further supports the notion of a lacklustre iPhone cycle.
