Leaked screenshots show what Apple Music might look like on Android

Apple’s foray into Android universe is its first streaming music service, Apple Music. We might be getting a look at what the service might be like courtesy of screenshots posted by German site MobileGeeks. The leaked screenshots show things like the dynamic radio stations that the Beats app currently has, individual music downloads, and curated playlists. A look at the Settings menu shows that you might be able to set downloads to happen only through Wi-Fi and you can event set a limit to local storage used by the app. You see some Android Material Design UI in there mixed with some old Beats Music DNA, which is the predecessor of Apple Music.

Apple Music introduces Guided Tours page to help you make sense of the app

Still get confused about how to use Apple Music? The tech giant is helping you out with the new “Guided Tours” section on the mini site for Apple Music. There are “tours” with videos explaining how these core functions work. The tours revolve around the For You, New, Radio, Connect, and My Music features. It would seem this is to help the people who have been complaining about the service’s confusing interface.

It doesn’t tackle the iTunes and iPad interfaces though or the app that’ll come for the fourth-generation Apple TV. Right now, it’s a critical time for the service as the trials for Apple Music will end at the end of this month. Starting October 1^st, subscribers who stay on will have to pay at least US$10 per month for the service. And we'll be able to see how much potential the service really has with the number of users who decide to stay on.

Review: iPod Touch (2015)

This isn't your daddy's iPod Classic. The new iPod Touch looks and feels like the last model released in 2012. It features the same 4-inch Retina Display and coloured aluminium rear casing. What's different is what Apple has managed to change on the inside.

We now have an updated Apple A8 processor which is the same as what the iPhone 6 offers. A new 8 megapixel iSight camera seriously boosts the iPod Touch picture and video taking capability by putting one of the most popular cameras in a new device. Thanks to sensor and processor, iPod Touch users can now shoot slo-mo video as well as burst-mode photos. Also onboard is the M8 motion co-processor which aids in tracking fitness.

Apple might be making exclusive Apple Music content in-house

Very recently, Drake just unveiled an Apple Music-exclusive video for his new song "Energy," which is off his If You're Reading This It's Too Late album. According to Pitchfork, the new video was reportedly made in-house, which was also the case with music videos for other exclusive debuts like Pharrell's "Freedom" and Eminem's "Phenomenal." Apple is reportedly working  on M.I.A.'s "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border," which should come out on July 13, Monday. 

Pitchfork said when they tried to reach out to Larry Jackson, head of content for Apple Music, he responded with a tweet that had the hashtags Content, Culture, Curation, and a link to the video. It also took a dig at Spotify CEO's "Oh ok" tweet that came out when Apple Music debuted. It would make sense for Apple to try and make exclusive content. First, they have the budget and means for it. Second, it would help them lure more people to use their service instead of the likes of Spotify and Tidal.
