Apple Music lets you listen to DJ mixes in spatial audio

If you're still not up for sweating it in a club, you can bring it home, sort of. Apple's spatial audio offers DJmixes in Dolby Atmos for a more immersive dance music experience through your AirPods (or supported Beats headphones). At launch, you get access to an enhanced One Mix set from Detroit techno legend Jeff Mills and 15 Boiler Room sets from stars like Boys Noize and The Blessed Madonna.

Apple plans to release more of these spatial audio mixes throughout the year. You can expect to see monthly One Mix episodes and Boiler Room albums. The company hasn't shared which artists will be featured. Still, it promises to bring the "finest DJs" from the electronic music and dance genres.

There might be an Apple Music app for classical music coming soon

A code hidden within the latest Apple Music beta app on Android suggests the company is making headway on its rumoured app built for classical music. The company said it planned to bring the app's best elements into Apple Music. And it also planned to release a new Apple Music app dedicated to classical music, combining Primephonic's user interface with Apple Music features like Lossless and Spatial Audio.

Apple Music cuts down free trial to a month

For as long as Apple Music has been around, the streaming service offered first-time subscribers three months of free use. But it looks like that has changed. The company quietly shortened the free trial period to a month. We've checked the Canadian portal, and it already states that "One month free, then $9.99/month."

There don't seem to be any pricing changes yet. So, if you're already a subscriber, you don't have to worry about paying extra. If you're trying out the service for the first time, unfortunately, you don't have as much time to enjoy the features for free until you have to pay.
