WWDC 2011 = Great Expectations

Apple's World Wide Developer's Conference (WWDC 2011) is the one time in the year that Apple gears up for huge hardware and software announcements (iPhone 4 was revealed there a year ago) targeted to its developer community. It is also the time of year when future projects and roadmaps are unveiled while the whole world watches.

For WWDC 2011 it is all about OS X Lion, iOS 5 and the mysterious new iCloud streaming service. We will be there to bring you the latest reports from the Steve Jobs keynote on Monday, 10:00 a.m. Pacific/ 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.

BrandZ- Apple unseats Google as World's Most Valuable Brand

Amazing product sales, high user demand and continued innovation and market success have boosted Apple Inc. beyond search ginat Google as World's Most Valuable Brand.

Registering a staggering 84 percent increase in value over the past year, Apple has emerged as the most valuable brand in the world, ending the four-year reign of Google at the top of the table in the sixth annual BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study.

Reuters: Apple is world's highest grossing mobile phone vendor

Reuters has reported  that according to a study done by research firm Strategy Analytics, Apple Inc. has become "the world's largest phone vendor by revenue in January-March, overtaking Nokia."  During their recent second quarter results announcement Apple says it sold 18.65 million iPhones in the quarter, representing 113 percent unit growth over the year-ago quarter.
