Update to BBM Shop gives various new options to enhance chat and communication

Ther recent update to BlackBerry's cross-platform BBM chat feature now offer new ways for users to customize their chat experience with a variety of new digital content.

BBM for Windows Phone expected to exit beta soon

The days of BlackBerry Messenger for Windows Phone being in beta are numbered. The app recently received an update and with it comes the announcement that a public launch is going to take place soon. The new update is intended to improve the experience for first-time BBM users.

There are currently over 91 million users of BBM with a bulk of them on BlackBerry’s own devices. But introducing the messaging service on different platforms is intended to widen the user base further. The Windows Phone launch will help do just that.

BBM set to land on Windows Phone this July

Looks like BBM fans on the Windows Phone platform are set to get the messaging app soon. According to the company’s CEO John Chen, the app will be making its way to the Microsoft mobile operating system this July. Chen announced this during BlackBerry’s earnings call. He, however, did not specify the date so we can’t say it will alive early or late in the month. Of course we’d want it sooner rather than later but we’ll take what we can get.

BlackBerry launches BBM protected for secure enterprise messaging

The eBBM Suite will include new services designed to enable mobile workers to be more productive on the go, while meeting enterprises' needs for security, manageability and control. The first product in the eBBM Suite which was announced earlier this year, BBM Protected, is being delivered ahead of schedule today
