Capcom wants to port 'Resident Evil Village' to the PS4, Xbox One

Resident Evil Village is currently being developed for the next-generation consoles and PC, but its developer wants those who use existing platforms to gain access to it, too. Capcom announced during its Tokyo Games Show presentation that this eighth mainline Resident Evil game to make its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

A Capcom producer said via a translator, "We're looking into it, but we can't make any promises; however, we will do our best to bring a top-tier survival horror experience to current-generation consoles." If Resident Evil Village gets ported to these consoles, then they will join titles like Spider-Man Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West that did the same.
