Dell set to unveil a 2-in-1 version of the XPS 13

Dell is updating its XPS 13 laptop to compete with the likes of Lenovo Yoga series or HP’s Spectre x360. Named the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1, you can see the new laptop finally catches up to what its rivals are doing: foldable display for presentations. We can expect the latest specs for this device but not much is available at the moment. CES is just a few days away so we’re thinking we’ll get to see more about the device there.

LG to debut bots at CES

The LG Rolling Bot is the company's most recent attempt at releasing consumer-geared robots

Moving beyond robot vacuum cleaners, LG is getting serious about robots at CES 2017. The South Korean company plans to introduce a new lineup that includes one capable of taking on Amazon’s Echo speakers. The “Hub Robot” as LG calls it serves as both a “smart home gateway and a personal assistant.” LG also plans to release a robot that can tend to your yard and garden. On the commercial side, they will be debuting models designed for public spaces like airports and hotels. There are no other details yet outside of what’s been released but should hear more soon with LG’s event at CES happening on January 4.

Look at this levitating speaker from LG

LG has been showing off its wares ahead of CES early next month and this time around the tech manufacturer ventures into audio territory. It’s not just any speaker, though, it’s a levitating speaker. The thick base of this off-white lunar lander-like speaker houses the subwoofer for that bass you will be looking for. The hovering speaker itself is an omnidirectional speaker with control options placed on it. LG claims this Levitating Portable Speaker comes with Dual Passive Radiator technology for “flush mid-range tones and crisp highs.”

Battery life is expected to last for 10 hours and when it runs out of juice it’ll slowly descend back on land, much like a mini lunar lander would. You will still be able to use the speaker when it’s charging but where’s the fun in that? There’s no word yet on pricing and release date for the speaker, though.
